I loved the look created by Flawless Faces by Jane on Genevieve Nnaji during the 2015 AMCVA awards. Her eye makeup looked like a dark smoky eye that softened from the outer corner of her eyes to the inner corner. Her lips were subtle and I love how bright her entire face looked to compliment her mustard dress.

So I saved this image from BellaNaija.com and I used it to replicate the look on myself.

I adjusted it a bit to suit the frame of my face and this is the finished look placed side by side to an image from Flawless Faces by Jane.

Hey everyone 🙂

I did this look on a Sunday before heading out to church. I wanted to complement the peachy orange color of my dress. I wanted bold lips so the eye makeup had to be subtle. I used the Laura Geller eye shadow palette in Golden Sunset. The texture of the eyeshadow is lovely and it slides onto the eye lid when applied.

Welcome back 😀

I was inspired to do this makeup from a picture I saw of Denise Vasi’s makeup a while back. I didn’t save the link at the time but if you google Denise Vasi, you might be able to find a similar look.

However the eye makeup is fun and bright. I received compliments all day long and I loved it. The eye makeup has an ombre effect which occurs when colors are over-lapped. I have made a video tutorial on YouTube.

Applying a teal eyeliner on the bottom lid can make the eyes look brighter. It can also make the wearer look younger because it is a fun shade of color. This look is very simple. I used minimal eyeshadow on the top lid and defined the top lid with black gel liner. Finally, I applied a teal/turquoise liner to the bottom lid.  I hope you enjoy watching the video because I enjoyed making this look.
